OPEN 5-D

GENERAL RULES

 

1.  A contestant will receive a no-time for knocking over a barrel.

2.  A contestant will receive a no-time for breaking the pattern.

3.  A contestant will be disqualified for abuse of a horse in any way or using abusive language.

4.  Time onlys are $4 per minute. Time starts when you enter the arena.

5.  Time break will be calculated as follows:

      -1D is the fastest time

      -2D is the fastest time plus .5 second

      -3D is the fastest time plus 1 second

      -4D is the fastest time plus 1.5 seconds

      -5D is the fastest time plus 2 seconds

 

6.  Division time break downs start with the fastest time of the contestant entered into the award

      series.

7.  No cross entering in the non-open.    

8.  Western attire is encouraged.

9.  Western boots required.

10. No alcohol on premises.

11. No smoking in the barns.

12. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

13. Show management reserves the right to make any final decisions necessary.

 

1.  No minimum show required to be eligible for awards.

2.  Awards fee must be paid before points will count for awards.

3.  Points will be posted at each show.

4.  Points will be given as follows:

     -First place= 25 points                            -Sixth place=12 points

     -Second place=22 points                        -Seventh place=10 points

     -Third place=20 points                           -Eighth place=7 points

     -Fourth place=17 points                         -Ninth place=5 points

     -Fifth place=15 points                            -Tenth place=2 points

6.  In the event of a tie, the points of the tied places will be added together then divided by two.        For example:  A tie for 2^nd would add the points of 2^nd place (22), plus 3^rd  place (20) equals 42 points then divided by 2 would equal 21 points for each.

7.  Awards will be given to at least the top eight horse/rider combination with the highest accumulated points for the First Division, Second Division, Third Division, Fourth Division, and Fifth Division.

8.  The awards fee is $35.00.

9.  The entry fee is $15.00 for one run in the open race.

10.  Points and awards will be given to the same horse/rider combination throughout the series.

11.  Award will be given to horse/rider combination in their highest placing points in one
